Gulf of Mexico Formed by a Rotating Hurricane Trapped in the Region

November 5, 2007

Recently in a coffee shop I met a gentleman who had dismissed himself from University Level Study and had developed some interesting theories on land formations of the Americas. His theory included a concept that the Gulf of Mexico some 2.5 billion plus years ago was situated in a place where extreme weather occurred and Hurricanes of a category we have never seen in our present period existed. In his theory these Hurricanes were more like Category VII. Currently our Hurricane Categories on the Saffir/Simpson Hurricane Scale go from one to five Categories. Category Five of course being winds of 155 mph or more; in the Pacific Ocean the Typhoons have much higher winds than this.

Category V Hurricanes are 500 times as damaging as those in Category I. Imagine a Category VII, which we do not believe exist, as they are well within the turbulent possibilities. Some say as we reach a Global Warming Crisis that Super Storms will be common and Severe Storm weather such as F-5 Tornadoes or Category V Hurricanes will top the scales. In this geology minded dismissed scholar he told of an age where Hurricanes were trapped in the Gulf of Mexico by the trade winds and normal and natural flow of the Global Weather patterns and they gained incredible strength and over millions of years dished out the Gulf. Additionally he explained that the State we call Florida was nothing more than a build up of sand delivered by huge wave surges creating a giant sand bar of over 500 miles long.

CCTV Decoy Registration System

Avoiding cameras? Gotcha, what are you trying to hide from. Cameras in Subways and airports often do not get a face shot good enough for face recognition software. There is a solution to this dilemma which can assist us in catching would be International Terrorists on watch lists. When we look over the video on television from the London Train Bombing we see many images from not so good angles, from this the authorities are asking all citizens foreign and domestic to help identify those in the photos. The photos being of course a single frame from a full motion video Close Circuit Television Surveillance System. We all know that such cameras are not so good and often the perpetrator is looking away from the camera at the time when they pass by? Of course those who are perpetrators know where the cameras are and they purposely look away.

MP Apprehension of High Strung or Drunken Soldiers

November 3, 2007

Recently scientists have discovered the hydrogen sulfide gas caused mice to go into spontaneous hibernation. The genetic similarities to the mammalian class humans belong to includes these rodents as well. The ability to put humans into spontaneous hibernation has incredible military applications, most of which have to do with stopping an advancing army, simply put them to sleep and thus serve your political will without having to kill them. Indeed this would change the battle space of the future in a way no one probably ever considered.

There is another military application for hydrogen sulfide gas that has not yet been discussed. That is to arm the Military Police with canisters of hydrogen sulfide gas to break up bar fights or subdue an out of control high-strung soldier with a weapon. The stress of warfare can cause behavior, which is not typical of the normal displacement of the individual. Work hard play hard also occurs during basic training or between deployments. Soldiers, young men, do have spikes in hormones and testosterone, which when put under this stress will cause severe behavioral issues. Whereas the killer instinct in necessary for survival in the heat of battle it can cause problems and such a soldier which is out of control and wants to kill someone, can be stopped short with a quick long-term nap rather than an escalation fight between him and the Military Police. There are so many stories of deaths both of soldiers and the Military Police Personal trying to stop them. By using the hydrogen sulfide gas, we can prevent deaths and channel that killer instinct behavior for the real battle. Think on this.

Randomness Versus Predetermination

November 2, 2007

Science is inherently a series of experiments within closed systems. A known starting points, then a prediction on what will happen based on a set of starting parameters. Once the prediction can be reproduced this is gauged as fact.

The universe itself is a system, which in essence had starting parameters, which as a common consensus is deemed to be ‘The Big Bang’.

Predicting how a series of 50 coin flips will turn out (either heads or tails or edge) is nigh on impossible. Each flip takes into account many parameters (the force of the flip, height from the floor, air pressure, side winds, floor material etc). The coin doesn’t have free will, but it is ‘controlled’ by the parameters at any one time. The starting parameters dictate how it will fall.

As you go through life, each decision you make, every action you take is predetermined by previous parameters, which each could be seen as ’starting’ parameters for the specific time in place you are.

If you are at a turning, you can go either left or right. You think about it, you rely on experience, your memories to dictate which way you will go. Is left to a meeting which you are late for? Is right to the toilet? Do you know that going left is dangerous?

Can Rain Makers Really Make Rain?

November 1, 2007

Whenever there’s a drought, someone will come up with the idea of finding a rain maker, or holding a day of prayer for rain.

Now far be it for me to make light of people who are in truly desperate straits and who are prepared to try anything to relieve their precarious situation. The worst that can happen, assuming no deliberate or unknowing fraud, is that everyone has something else to think about for a day or so. For a while they have some cause for hope.

And it may indeed rain and the drought will be over. But in most cases not.

For more information on droughts, visit http://www.home-weather-stations-guide.com/drought.html

Rain making can be divided into two types - cloud seeding, which has strong scientific and engineering reasoning behind it, and, for the moment, everything else.

Cloud seeding has been used to create or increase rain for over 50 years, and while the results are a little patchy and rarely spectacular, when the right combination of cloud seeding method and clouds is present, it has been shown to work many times over, and in a cost effective way.

Methods of Improving Boiler Efficiency

November 1, 2007

With the rising cost of fuel prices, industries that use steam boilers for heating or power generation are hard pressed to operate at peak efficiencies.

While steam consumption, leakages, and other heat transmission losses can contribute to the overall energy bill, this article focuses on the heart of the steam generator - the boiler.

Controlling the boiler is of utmost importance in any steam generation energy saving program. Below are some ways to improve boiler efficiencies:

  • Reducing excess air
  • Installing economizer
  • Reducing scale and deposits
  • Reducing blow down
  • Recovering waste heat from blow down
  • Stopping dynamic operation
  • Reducing boiler pressure
  • Operating at peak efficiency
  • Preheating combustion air
  • Switching from steam to air atomization
  • Switching to lower cost fuel

Reducing Excess Air

By far the most common reason for energy inefficiencies in a boiler can be attributed to the use of excess air during combustion at the burners. When there is more air than is required for combustion, the extra air becomes heated up and is finally discharged out to the atmosphere. However, there are reasons for putting in some extra air for combustion - to compensate for imperfect burner fuel-air mixing conditions, air density changes, control system “slop”, burner maintenance, fuel composition and viscosity variation, and imperfect atomizing steam or air controls for burners.
